With so many companies cutting back on travel and other operational expenses, the Foundation was finding it increasingly difficult to fill our own Institute of Distribution Management. After examining the issue from several angles, we joined the University of Industrial Distribution as a co-sponsor along with several other industrial distribution associations rather than continuing to offer our own IDM.

The new University offers an expanded menu of course offerings over a 4-day rather than a 3-day period, with as many as 7 workshops per day. The faculty will continue to be anchored by leading trainers such as Mike Workman, Bruce Merrifield, Tim Underhill, Don Rice and several others. The University of Industrial Distribution will be held at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL on March 2 through 4, 2003.
