Robert G. Hazard, 56, president of wholesale firm L.A. Hazard & Sons Inc., Derby, N.Y., died Sept. 6 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was the third generation of his family to head the corporation. He served the family-owned company for 35 years. While president, he expanded the wholesale firm from one branch to four. He was a former president of the New York State Wholesalers Association. The company is a plumbing, heating and electrical wholesaler serving western New York. In addition to its four branches, the company operates two registered Kohler showrooms. Hazard's brother, Oliver Hazard, is chairman of L.A. Hazard & Sons; his nephew, Eric Hazard, is the new president; and his son, Robert J. Hazard, works in sales for the company.
