Contractors can use an in-line longitudinal sway brace attachment for bracing against sway and seismic disturbances. The Figure 4L is made of carbon steel and has a break-off head bolt to verify proper installation torque. The attachment has a 2,015-lb. horizontal design load and is available in sizes 2-1/2-inch through 8-inch IPS.
