Danby Refrigerators and American Forests have teamed up for the project “Artists For A Cool Planet,” in which 10 renowned artists create original paintings and photographs to be reproduced on refrigerator doors. For each Danby Art Cooler™ sold, American Forests, a nonprofit conservation organization, will plant 10 trees. Mike Venema, who died last October, came up with the idea for the project. The art show was dedicated to Venema and proceeds will be used to purchase land near Alto, Mich., to plant and maintain a grove of walnut trees that will be placed in trust for his children.
