Delta Faucet Co. celebrated the 50th anniversary of its introduction of the first washerless, single-handle faucet for the kitchen in 1954 at Delta's world headquarters in Indianapolis. Jan. 30 was declared Delta Faucet Co. Day in Indiana and the City of Indianapolis. Representatives of Governor Joe Kernan and Mayor Bart Peterson presented proclamations that recognized Delta for its contributions to the community and exemplary corporate citizenship.
