Plumbing Manufacturers Institute discussed future efforts and projects at its spring meeting in Savannah, Ga., including: host a water conservation summit this summer; continue to build relationships with allied organizations and associations; develop a White Paper on fixture fitting backflow protection; update and publish the White Paper on the control and limitation of water temperature; continue to host workshops on such industry topics as codes and standards, information technology and business operations; submit comments on the draft U.S. Standards Strategy developed by ANSI to address plumbing industry challenges in achieving a fully coordinating U.S. standardization system; and continue to monitor and provide input to organizations involved in reviewing material content of plumbing products (such as lead).

PMI President John Lauer, director of international business development for Sloan Valve Co., welcomed 90 attendees to the meeting.
