Sloan Valve Co. presented Ren Owen, vice president of business development, an award for his 40 years with the company. He began at the age of 19 in the Foundry Division and left to serve in the U.S. Army for three years, returning in 1968 to work in customer service at the company's headquarters. Since then he has held positions including manager of the order department, plumbing parts sales manager and national sales manager. He was named to his current position in 2003.
