Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) acquired Home Equipment Co., which trades as Cline Contract Sales and is based in Richmond, Va., through a stock transaction completed Sept. 1. Cline Contract Sales is a distributor of home appliances to the custom builder and remodeling market with annual sales of about $9 million and 24 full-time associates. This acquisition enhances the strategic expansion of Ferguson's appliance business in the Richmond, Va., market, the company said. Ferguson is owned by Wolseley plc of Reading, England.
