York International Corp. named Kim Buchwald, currently vice president, Marine and Refrigeration, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), to the position of vice president, York International and president, EMEA. He joined York as part of the Sabroe acquisition in 1999. Prior to that, he worked as a senior management consultant. Peter Spellar has been promoted to senior corporate vice president. He joined York in 1987 with the acquisition of Frick. In his new position he will be responsible for strategy, technology and market competitiveness.

The appointments will be effective Jan. 1, 2005.
