Hughes Supply Completes Acquisition

>> Hughes Supply (Orlando, Fla.) completed its acquisition of TVESCO, which distributes transmission and distribution and electrical commercial and industrial products to municipal utility, electric cooperative utility and contractor customers through 14 branches in five southeastern states. TVESCO had annual sales of about $138 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2004 and employs 170 full-time associates. This is a strategic acquisition for Hughes, strengthening the geographic footprint of its utilities and electrical businesses, the wholesaler said.
