Trane is building a $4.5 million, 79,000-sq.-ft. facility in Cascade Township's Meadowbrooke Business Park in western Michigan. It expects to begin engineering work and manufacturing by Jan. 1, 2006. The company spoke with the township about expanding its original plans by 11,000 sq. ft. because it has added its residential division to its commercial division, according to Chris Comperchio, district manager.

Trane also intends to consolidate three existing facilities in Wyoming.
