IPEX has launched a complete polypropylene (PP) system of metric pipe, valves and fittings featuring an advanced socket fusion joining technique. The system's interference fit design is intended to produce a joint that will outperform individual components with stronger and faster installations, reduced downtime and lower costs.
Joints are produced with a hand-held tool, and can be made and tested at full press in minutes. Other features include greater ductility compared with other PP systems, particularly at lower temperatures, and portable and bench fusion equipment.
Applications for IPEX's Socket Fusion Polypro systems include industrial and chemical processes - from laboratories and plating lines to battery plants and water treatment facilities. IPEX offers the system in dimensions ranging from 20 mm to 110 mm in 150 psi rated pipe, valves and fittings.
