Noland Co., Newport News, VA (a subsidiary of WinWholesale, Dayton, OH), announced in late March that it had opened a location in Gulfport, MS, to provide local services to plumbing and air conditioning contractors involved in Mississippi's post-storm recovery.

The new operation is housed in a 9,000-sq.-ft. sales and warehouse facility at 14373 Creosote Road, Building F, in the Interchange Business Park. It is near the intersection of I-10 and U.S. 49 for easy local pick- ups and faster delivery service.

The Gulfport branch opened as a satellite of the Hattiesburg branch, with an initial staff of three employees.

“We have been making deliveries from our Hattiesburg branch to the Gulfport-Biloxi-D'Iberville area for quite some time,” Doyle Ward, Noland's Hattiesburg and Gulfport manager, said in a statement. “But as our base of customers in the coastal area expanded with the rebuilding effort, we felt we needed to open a local operation to better meet their supply needs.”

The new branch stocks plumbing fixtures, heating and air conditioning equipment and related accessories, tools and parts.
