Preferred Pump recently completed an agreement to acquire Waterways Distribution in Chico, CA. Jim Love, founder and owner of Waterways, built up his business in the irrigation industry selling Line Shaft Turbine Pumps, motors, controls and associated supplies. Preferred has also established a strong irrigation concern in California and is already expanding the former Waterways business with the addition of a larger location, more inventory and new high-tech machine tools.
