The Granite Group Wholesalers LLC, Concord, NH, purchased the assets of Shetucket Supply Corp., a nine-branch plumbing and heating distributor based in Norwich, CT, that has been owned and operated by the Fatone family for more than 50 years.

An 18-branch distributor of plumbing, heating and cooling products, The Granite Group was established in 1998 through the merger of Capitol Plumbing Supply and Central Goulet. After the acquisition, it will have sales of $165 million, 450 employees and locations in all New England states, extending its business through eastern Connecticut and into Rhode Island. Its 105,000-sq.-ft. central distribution warehouse is in Londonderry, NH.

The Granite Group is also the parent company of The Ultimate Bath plumbing showrooms with New Hampshire locations in Concord, Manchester, Rochester, Exeter and South Hampton.

Closing was expected in mid-March. The purchase price was not disclosed.
