KPS Capital Partners (KPS) formed a new affiliate, Bristol Compressors International Inc., after acquiring Bristol Compressors Inc. from Johnson Controls Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Bristol manufactures and designs compression technology used in residential and commercial a/c and heat pump applications. The company supplies manufacturers as well as wholesale distributors globally. Bristol and KPS plan to improve manufacturing operations, productivity and supply chain management.
