Aetna Plastics Corp. acquired Pro-Fab Manufacturing, a division of Magnus Equipment. Pro-Fab, a 25-year-old fabricator of corrosion-resistant plastic equipment with a plant in Macedonia, OH, will join the operation of Vanguard Plastics, which Aetna acquired in 2004. Pro-Fab’s people and equipment will be relocated in the recently purchased and expanded facilities of Vanguard Plastics, located on a four-acre site in Mantua, OH. The combined operations of the two companies will form one of the Midwest’s largest fabricators of plastics equipment and materials for the chemical, metals, water treatment and general industrial markets.
