June 26, 2007 - Crane Plumbing To Lay Off 100 In Dallas
About 100 employees of Crane Plumbing LLC will lose their
jobs when the company shutters its steel plant manufacturing operations at the
end of August, a news service has reported.
In a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission, Crane said it was permanently closing its steel manufacturing plant at 8290 South Central Expressway in Dallas.
The company’s acrylic manufacturing operations will remain open at the same site, the company said in the notice.
The company has not released a statement about the closing at this time.
Crane Plumbing is a privately held plumbing fixture and accessories manufacturer based in Mansfield, Ohio.
