Kohler Co. said it was laying off 160 employees from its Kohler, WI, operations effective July 13, due to a slower summer production schedule and the continued soft housing industry. This affected employees within the Cast Iron, Engine and Generator divisions, as well as the distribution center. Kohler said it would continue to monitor the business landscape and adjust employee levels as customer demand dictates.
