William J. (Bill) Peel, 84, a publishing executive for plumbing industry magazines, died Oct. 7 after an extended illness. His career in the PHCP field spanned 40 years, including stints with Plumbing & Heating Business (PHB), then the official publication of the National Association of Master Plumbers, Domestic Engineering (DE) and Actual Specifying Engineer. He initiated the sale of DE to Scott Periodicals and its subsequent merger with Plumbing & Heating Journal to become DE/Journal. Prior to this, he had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and received multiple awards.
