The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) has announced the 2008 Executive Committee that will guide the nearly 40,000 members and the growing industry for the next year. Educating and leading the kitchen and bath industry for more than 40 years, the NKBA is the only trade association dedicated exclusively to the industry, and the leading source of information and education for consumers and professionals alike.

Sara Ann Busby, CKD, owner of Sara Busby Design, a kitchen and bath design showroom in Elk Rapids, MI, has been named 2008 NKBA president; Suzie Williford of Kiva Kitchen and Bath in Houston has been named president elect; Mark Karas, CMKBD, of Adam’s Kitchens in Stoneham, MA, has been named vice president; and David Alderman, CKD of Dave’s Cabinet, Inc., has been named secretary. New to the Executive Committee is Maria Martina, CKD, CBD, of Renovator’s Resource in Fairfield, NJ, named treasurer of the NKBA.

Leaving his role as 2007 president of the NKBA, Bob Garner, CMKBD, of Waconia, MN, now gains the title of 2008 immediate past president. As the national training and education manager for Medallion Cabinetry Inc., Garner was the first president of the NKBA elected from the manufacturers/suppliers industry segment.

As the 2008 Executive Committee for the NKBA, President Sara Ann Busby and the other senior executives in the association will determine policies and influence the decisions of North America’s leading association in the burgeoning $265 billion kitchen and bath industry.
