Close to 1,400 wholesalers, manufacturers, manufacturers reps and contractors of the PHCP/PVF industry came together at Network’07 in Anaheim, California October 24 - 27, 2007.
In addition to being the only industry event that brings together all members of the supply chain, Network’07 provided attendees many educational opportunities from professional speakers, informative researchers and home-grown industry pros sharing their first-hand experiences.
”All the feedback I've received indicates this was one of the best ASA conventions in many years. Distributors and manufacturers alike talked about the useful information from the speakers and programs, and had many opportunities for networking during the idle times," shares Jeff New of Mid-City Supply, ASA's President for 2008. "From a personal experience, two of our branch managers attended, and they were thrilled with what they saw. I encourage everyone to allow their mid-management personnel to attend the next ASA convention and gain from the same experience.”
In his address to the membership outlining the agenda for his presidency, New spoke to the importance of ASA’s role as an industry advocate, giving every member - from the national chain to the single-location distributor - a unified voice in Washington, D.C., and how ASA will continue to enhance and expand its influence in the coming election year.
For the second year in a row, students from industrial distribution schools across the country came to the meeting and were able to meet with distributors and manufacturers, as well as participate in seminars providing them insight into the issues facing the industry today. Over 30 students from six colleges and universities attended Network’07.
