Recognizing that 2008 is shaping up to be an historic election year with strong potential ramifications to the industry at stake, ASA has scheduled a Fly-In for wholesalers and manufacturers of PHCP/PVF products to personally meet with Congressional representatives.
The PHCP industry represents more than 75,000 professionals throughout the channel of distribution. The Fly-In is an opportunity for individuals to meet and educate federally elected officials on the issues being debated in Congress and how they will impact the industry if enacted into law. “There are sixteen issues that ASA and its Government Affairs Committee are monitoring. Traveling to Washington to meet with our elected leaders is a great opportunity to put a face on our industry through meeting personally with our Representatives,” said Don Robertson, Chairman of ASA’s Government Affairs Committee. “It’s also a chance to let them know how these issues will impact our ability to compete and earn a profit.” ASA is working with PHCC and HARDI to explore how the associations’ members can join forces during the Fly-In and strengthen all of our efforts through some unique partnership opportunities.
The ASA Washington Fly-In is scheduled for April 30 and May 1 in Washington, D.C. For further information about participating, and to obtain registration information, call ASA Headquarters at 312.464.0090.
