The Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association (DPHA)
elected Jonathan Wood, vice president of sales & marketing for
Ginger/Newport Brass Hardware, as its seventh president. He took office at the
organization’s annual meeting in October, held in Phoenix, AZ. Also at the
meeting DPHA honored Jim Babbitt (Hot2Cold, Northfield, IL) and Bill Fiddler
(Fiddler’s, Honolulu, HI) as Fellows of the association.
According to DPHA President Debbie Miller (Millers Decorative
Plumbing and Hardware, Dania, FL) “Recognizing outstanding members and career
and industry accomplishments is one of the organization’s strategic
objectives. However, DPHA did not want
to simply mimic the programs offered by others. Instead, DPHA created the designation of Fellow and established a
Council of Fellows to recognize outstanding leaders and to provide a medium
upon which Fellows can capitalize on the community that DPHA has created and
remain active and contribute to the industry’s continual advancement.” Miller added that, “DPHA will look to the Council of Fellows to take on special
projects and serve as the organization’s strategic think tank.”
Other members of the DPHA Council of Fellows are Hank Darlington
(Darlington Consulting), Charlie Goldberg (Union Hardware), Ken Rohl (Rohl,
LLC), Walt Diamond (Synder Diamond), Jeff Burton (The Bath and Beyond), Jack
Fase (Alno Inc.). Marilyn Hermance (Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware) and
Faye Norton (Designer Hardware by Faye).
