Earl W. Monnig, 91, an active member of the PVF industry for 30 years, died at his home in Pittsburgh Dec. 23. He served as a manager for Jay Instrument & Specialty Co. (now known as Industrial Controls Distribution) at various locations including Knoxville, TN; Charleston, WV; Chicago; and Pittsburgh. He became one of the company’s most successful salesmen/managers, according to his son, Roch Monnig. Prior to that he was a chemist with Proctor & Gamble for 20 years.
