Jim Olsztynski Contributes To Chicago Tribune Article On Blue-Collar Trades
SHT's own Jim Olsztynski recently contributed to a Chicago Tribune article on the growing attractiveness of trade careers.
A recent opinion article in the Chicago Tribune throws light on the possibility of American workers ditching the white-collar world for the trades. Reporter John Keilman writes how his lack of fix-it skills "has always been a bit of a wound to my masculine pride."
PM Editorial Director Jim Olsztynski was a source for the story, which mentioned his PM magazine essay "Blue-Collar Bias". Back in 2001, Jim's essay blasted school counselors who "advise students they have better futures as third-rate paper shufflers than as craftsmen."
