Vincent “Vinny” Robinson, former
president and CEO ofCambridge-Lee Industries, died
peacefully surrounded by his family on June 24, 2009. Vinny
was the devoted husband of Marie (Mulholland) Robinson, his cherished wife of
56 years, and loving father to five children: Vincent Jr., Brian, Gerard,
Timothy and Grace Ann. A true family man, Vinny was born and raised in
Brooklyn, NY, along with his brothers Raymond and James. He was a graduate of
St. Augustine Diocesan High School and St. John's University. While at St.
John's, he entered the Naval Air Reserves.
During his career in the metal industry, he was a salesman
for Down-Smith & Co.and C. Tenant & Co. in New York City. He then moved
to Garden State Steal Co. in New Jersey. He started his family in Brooklyn and
Matawan, NJ, and he eventually settled in Wellesley, when he became the
president and CEO of Cambridge-Lee Industries, where he spent 40 years before
retiring in 1996.
