Art LaPointe
The Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) elected Art LaPointe as president at the group’s 54th annual meeting held in Quebec, Canada. La Pointe is vice president and general manager of Construction Specialties, Cranford, NJ. Construction Specialties has maintained membership with AMCA for more than 30 years.
LaPointe, who has been involved with AMCA since 1996, has served as co-chair and chairman of the Air Control division; bylaws task force member; and has been a longtime member of the statistical program committee. In the last six years he has served as a member of the AMCA board of directors, and more recently as a member of the executive board, holding the positions of director at large, treasurer and vice president.
