John Robert Scattergood, 66, of New Hartford, CT, was president of Litco Supply for more than 30 years. TSC Distribution Group Inc., the parent company of Torrington Supply Co. in Waterbury, CT, purchased the assets of Torrington, CT-based Litco Supply in September 2009. At the time, Litco was a six-branch company with locations in western Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut. The company continued to operate separately as the Litco Supply Co.
In addition to his wife, Scattergood leaves three children and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Nov. 4 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 220 Prospect Street, Torrington, CT.
