Therm-Omega-Tech’s DTV-R Drain Tempering Valve is completely self-operating and requires no power or signal. Simply screw into the drain line and the water supply connects to the inlet. If the drain temperature is above the specified setpoint, the DTV-R valve allows cold water to spray into the drain until the drain temperature falls a few degrees, at which point the DTV-R valve automatically shuts off the cold water flow, resulting in a minimum amount of wasted water while still complying with the plumbing code.
