Mansfield Plumbingwill invest $9 million and create 150 new jobs to its operations in Perryville, Ohio. The key piece of Mansfield’s investment will be a new football field long kiln and more equipment, according toSteve Johnson, the company’s treasurer and risk manager.

The new jobs will pay between $11.84 to $18 per hour, with an average of $16.26 per hour. Currently, Mansfield has around 455 works at its Perryville headquarters. The company also has manufacturing plants in Big Prairie, Ohio and Henderson, Texas.

On Monday, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority gave its approval for an eight-year, 60% for Mansfield for its creation of $5.2 million of additional annual payroll. Part of the tax credit says that Mansfield must stay in operation in Perryville for at least 11 years, according to the state’s Department of Development.

Mansfield’s CFOPhilip G. Taggartis pleased that his company will be able to lead the way in American manufacturing for the foreseeable future.

“This incentive by the state enables the Mansfield Plumbing organization to continue its commitment to manufacturing jobs in Ashland County and the State of Ohio,” Taggart said. “The grant helps position the company to serve a recovering U.S. housing market and an increasing desire by American consumers for ‘Made in USA’ products.”
