Dear Industry Colleagues,
Next month, specifically October 17-20 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort, our industry and the ASA membership will come together to be part of the industry networking and educational event atNetworkASA 2012: Own It! – Your Company, Your Industry, Your Future. Anyone who has attended NetworkASA the past few years knows about the abundance of networking opportunities and variety of standing room only educational sessions that comprise the busy meeting schedule. Not to mention, attendees always experience the most powerful lineup of speakers available at any industry event. I am happy to say this year will be no exception. ASA’s leadership has taken tremendous strides to ensure that our NetworkASA 2012 program is sure to surpass the excitement from 2011.
It goes without saying that staying ahead of future trends is very important in our industry. At NetworkASA 2012,Steve Forbeswill offer his insights into the business and political trends that will impact all of us in the short- and long-term. In addition, attendees will hear political analystStuart Rothenberg’s pre-election analysis, Congressional Medal of Honor recipientDakota Meyer’s unbelievably heroic story, and a well-detailed economic forecast fromAlan Beaulieu. Also not to be missed is a “State of the Industry” presentation by Danze CEOMichael Wernerand Friday’s Weldbend IPD Breakfast, which will feature boxing legend, ordained minister and entrepreneurGeorge Foreman.
Highlighting this year’s educational programs, in addition to Werner’s presentation, are sessions entitled “Is an ESOP Right for You?” and “Lead – Down the Right Path – Sustainability Planning.” Also, back by popular demand are Thursday’s Wholesaler and Vendor Conference Appointments. ASA understands the value within our industry of one-on-one appointments. These appointments are critical components in the cultivation of the important industry relationships that I spoke about in last month’s letter. Two more great networking opportunities which have become very popular are the IPD and Plumbing Division Open Houses. These sessions allow attendees to casually meet with colleagues in their specific industry segments without having to make prior arrangements.
As I have mentioned in my various meetings representing ASA throughout this year, as business leaders, we all take tremendous responsibilities and work tirelessly every day to build stronger companies. Collectively, we employ thousands of people. Through our hard work and success as business owners, we provide numerous opportunities for our employees to provide better lives for their families. Attending NetworkASA 2012 in Orlando will give you the edge to ensure your company remains strong and vibrant well into the future.
