Matco-Norca supplies two types of backflow preventers to protect water supplies from backflow contamination. Its BFP Backflow Preventer conforms to ASSE Standard 1012 and UPC/IAPMO and is comprised of a bronze body with stainless-steel internal parts to include an atmospheric vent. Handling up to 175 psi with a 250° F maximum backflow water temperature capability, it is available in 1/2” and 3/4” union connections. Matco-Norca also has a DCV Dual Check BFP model in sizes 3/4” and 1”, which comes with a bronze body and has stainless-steel springs. With a 140° F maximum backflow temperature and a 25–175 psi, the DCV BFP complies with ASSE Standard 1024 and CSA.
