Penn Machine introduces an insert welded outlet, which is a type of integrally reinforced branch connection used to facilitate radiography. The fitting follows ASME piping codes and properly reinforces the opening in the header pipe. Its shape connects two pipes with a subtle, yet complex design. The concave curvature of the outer profile is calculated to relieve stress at an intersection where fatigue may occur from cyclic loads. Inserting the fitting directly into the header pipe provides a solid foundation and significantly minimizes the weld amount. Manufactured as butt weld, socket weld or threaded and can be configured as lateral or elbow outlets.
