Sonnhalter, a communications firm marketing to the professional tradesman in the construction, industrial and MRO markets, is partnering withthe Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanityfor thethird annual Sonnhalter Tool Drive, during the month of August.
Organizations, businesses and residents are encouraged to donate new and gently used tools, as well as cabinets, sinks, building materials and appliances, to the Sonnhalter Tool Drive between August 1-31, 2012 to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s cause of eliminating substandard housing. The Tool Drive strives to engage the community, businesses and organizations to look through workbenches, warehouses, storage lockers, basements, garages and tool kits and donate refurbished, duplicated or overstocked tools or items that are no longer being used.
“Many clients and local retailers donated to last year’s Sonnhalter Tool Drive and we collected more than $26,000 worth of tools, building materials, appliances and other items, bringing the total to $42,000 donated since our efforts began,” saidMatt Sonnhalter, vision architect at Sonnhalter. “This year, we want to collect even more, so we encourage everyone to clean out their toolboxes and work areas and donate anything that is collecting dust.”
The donated items will be used for Habitat for Humanity projects or will be sold at the organization’sReStore, a recycled building materials store. Proceeds from ReStore sales are used to help Habitat build and rehabilitate homes for those in need.
Tools and materials can be shipped to Attn: Tool Drive, Sonnhalter, 633 West Bagley Road, Suite 4, Berea, Ohio 44017.
