Plumbing Manufacturers International(PMI) electedStewart Yang, vice president of engineering, faucet design for Kohler Co., board president for 2012. Yang has served a variety of positions on the PMI board since 2008, including treasurer, second vice president, and first vice president. Yang will move into his new role as board president in January 2012.
“Stewart and Kohler have consistently supported PMI through their leadership in furthering critical industry initiatives,” saysBarbara Higgens, executive director of PMI. “Stewart will be an inspiring PMI president and I am very much looking forward to his term.” The voluntary, not-for-profit international industry association functions as a sounding board for its members, a source for industry and market information, and as a coordinating and decision-making body for dealing with industry issues. It also helps develop and maintain standards and codes, and works closely with government agencies at all levels - federal, state and local.
Kohler Co.has been a member of PMI for 27 years, with several of its executives serving on PMI’s board throughout its membership.
