According to the American Supply Association’s February 2013 report, ASA distributor members are operating at their most efficient level since 2008 on a capital structure.
Per day revenue was up 7.9% in February compared to 2012, up 20.6% compared to 2011 and up 35.2% compared to 2010. The PHCP and industrial PVF distributors were up 6.2% on a trailing 12-month basis.
For the 28th straight month, ASA members have added jobs and improved profitability also continues as compared to 2011. All regions showed positive single-digit growth, but the Southeast and the south central regions sales increased in the double digits.
The industrial PVF segment cooled off a bit after a red-hot 2012. So far in 2013 the segment has a 2.5% growth. That contrasts the PHCP segment, which has grown 9.5% in 2013.
Inventories overall continue to return as it increased at levels below the revenue increases at a 5% growth in February versus 2012.
