Royal Oak, Mich.-based Delwood Supply is celebrating its 50th anniversary of serving plumbing professionals in southeast Michigan.

Founded by Joe Fisher and Ralph Long in 1963, Delwood began as an offshoot of Warren Plumbing Supply. Shortly after, Walter Deanna joined Fisher, adding another level of expertise. Fisher’s son, Mark, joined the business in 1974. Mark Fisher is Delwood’s current president. Mark Fisher opened the company’s second location in 1994 in Livonia, Mich. The company features the Royal Oak and Livonia branches and eight employees.

“When we started, we did business on a handshake and good, old-fashioned hard work,” Joe Fisher said. “That hasn’t changed in 50 years. I am proud to say that Delwood is still taking care of our customers the way we did 50 years ago.”

Delwood, a member of the Omni buying group, is honoring the occasion by developing personalized clothing apparel for its employees and customers and hosting customer appreciation barbeques.

“We have a level of service here that continually brings customers back,” Mark Fisher told Supply House Times. “They know we will spend the time to take care of them. We know our customers by first names.”
