F.W. Webb recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new 65,000-sq.-ft. facility in the Springfield (Mass.) Smith & Wesson Industrial Park located at 1145 Performance Blvd. The location features a F.W. Webb wholesale branch and a Frank Webb’s Bath Center retail space.
The company has a 40-year history in Springfield and outgrew an older facility in the north end of the city. The new building affords F.W. Webb the opportunity to expand even further.
F.W. Webb originally committed to 16 jobs in the building, but has increased that number to 25. The company bought the 14-acre property from the Springfield Redevelopment Authority. The city assisted the project through a 10-year tax increment financing plan, which provides new tax revenue for the city, but also helps the company stabilize after the large investment in the site.
