R.I. Kitchen & Bath is honored to be the recipient of a 2014 PRISM Award — A Silver Award in the “Best Bath Remodel under $75,000” category.

Presented by the Builders Association of Greater Boston, the PRISM (Prestigious Results in Sales and Marketing) Awards recognize the accomplishments of professionals who influence the present and shape the future of building and design. The largest industry competition in this region recognizes achievements in building and design and is open to builders, developers, project owners, architects, land planners, marketing/advertising firms, interior design firms, remodelers and other professionals in the home building industry.

Susan Wornick, former WCVB-TV anchor, hosted the 2014 Awards Gala held October 9th at the Boston Park Plaza. The event celebrated the winners while also raising funds for the Be Like Brit Foundation named for the late Britney Gengel who died in the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Daughter of Len and Cherylann Gengel, longtime BRAGB members, the foundation supports an orphanage in Haiti built in honor of Brittany.

The Silver award received by R.I. Kitchen & Bath recognized exceptional work on an outdated bathroom renovation. The cramped space consisted of a large Jacuzzi tub, separate shower stall, plain vanities and a commode. The R.I. Kitchen & Bath team focused on creating a custom walk-in shower flanked by a linen display cabinet, a vanity in Manhattan Calcutta marble, adding heated flooring as well as a side wall wallpapered to match the palette in the master bedroom.  The result opened up and modernized the bathroom, allowing greater access and function for the homeowners to simultaneously use the space.

“I am extremely pleased to have received a PRISM award,” stated Steve St. Onge, R.I. Kitchen & Bath president. “We always take great pride in what we do and we are honored to be recognized for our hard work.”

The company recently redesigned their showroom to create a spacious 3,000 sq. ft. showroom, which features full-size kitchen and bath models and the latest trends in appliances, countertops, cabinetry hardware, ceramic and stone tile, plumbing, lighting samples and more.

The firm is an active member of the Rhode Island Builders Association, National Kitchen & Bath Association, National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.
