Simon “Si” Lipp, formerly of Merit Brass Co., died Nov. 5, 2014 in Scottsdale, Ariz., surrounded by his family.

Lipp was the former vice president of sales and marketing at Merit Brass. His career spanned nearly 45 years until his retirement in 2001.

Si was the husband of the late Elaine (married 52 years), father of Marci (Marc) and Alan (Peggy). Alan Lipp is Merit’s current chief operating officer. Lipp’s grandchildren include Brian Kaplan (Jill), Lauren (Lucas), Jordan, Kevin and Alison Lipp, as well as great-grandchild, Clark. His also is survived by his sister, Pearl, and brothers, Ronald, and Steven, along with many nieces and nephews.
