T&S Brass and Bronze Works has been singled out as one of the best plants in North America, according to IndustryWeek Magazine. The publication recognized the South Carolina-based commercial foodservice and plumbing manufacturer on January 13 as one of six winners in its 25th annual Best Plants competition.
IndustryWeek Executive Editor Steve Minter visited T&S’s Travelers Rest facility last fall as part of the competition’s onsite assessment process. “T&S Brass and Bronze Works embodies the values of IndustryWeek’s Best Plants contest winners — efficient manufacturing operations dedicated to continuous improvement producing high-quality products. The company’s engaged workforce is an integral part of the daily quest to improve its products and operations and T&S’s investments in technology, processes and people are helping to ensure it remains a safe, environmentally responsible and highly competitive business,” said Minter.
Gary Cole, operations manager for T&S, said the award is a great way to cap off what was a great year for T&S. “We’re honored to have our Travelers Rest team recognized in such a public way, and that recognition comes because of the work ethic and dedication of an amazing group of people.”
T&S and the other winners — Boston Scientific Maple Grove in Maple Grove, Minn.; Cessna Mexico in Chihuahua, Mexico; General Cable Corp. in Marion, Ind.; L. B. Foster Rail Technologies Corp. in Vancouver, B.C. and The Raymond Corp. in Greene, N.Y. — will be profiled in the January/February issue of IndustryWeek and will be honored during an awards ceremony at the 2015 IndustryWeek Best Plants conference in Charlotte, N.C. in May.
