Laars has expanded its MagnaTherm boiler/volume water heater line to now include 1.6, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 million Btu/hr. sizes. The modulating-condensing systems have 95% thermal efficiency and a 5:1 turndown. The systems also have a small footprint, slim vertical design with removable top section, a stainless-steel heat exchanger and multiple voltage options to easily match building service. Designed and made in the United States, the MagnaTherm meets all ASME requirements and is AHRI certified. The boiler features an advanced VARI-PRIME pump control that seamlessly matches boiler firing rate to pump flow, thus reducing boiler pumping costs by 70%, the company noted. This unique on-board control functionality balances combustion, air flow and water flow to optimize boiler efficiency.
