From the Metals Service Center Institute, steel and aluminum shipments declined from 2014 levels in September in the United States and Canada.

In the U.S., U.S. service center shipments decreased by 10.9% from September 2014. Steel product inventories decreased 1.6% from the same time a year ago. Aluminum service center shipments decreased 2.8% from September 2014, while aluminum inventories were down 0.8% from September a year ago, MSCI reported.
