The Aurora, Ohio-based Omni Corporate Services buying group announced John Aykroyd, an accomplished executive with extensive experience in marketing, sales and operations both domestically and internationally, has been hired to be the successor to current Omni President Bob Hoff.
Aykroyd most recently was executive vice president, business development for Sloan Valve Co.
As president of Omni, Aykroyd will have full responsibility for profit-and-loss, business development, strategic planning and future growth initiatives.
Aykroyd will report directly to the Omni Board of Directors. He will begin his duties with Omni on July 18, a week prior to Omni’s vendor invitational meeting.
“The Omni Board of Directors is excited to have John on board as we look to grow our position in the marketplace,” the cooperative said in a news release. “John’s experience in the industry and the relationships he developed while at Sloan Valve, Halsey Taylor and Mueller Industries will serve him well as he transitions to this new role.”
