Powers’ LFLM496-HTK is a mixing valve that installs on a hot-water tank to increase hot-water capacity by providing greater control over water temperature and flow. The valve allows water to be stored at higher temperatures, extending water-heater capacity by as much as 133% depending on storage and incoming cold-water temperature, the company explains. The lead-free valve helps minimize the occurrence of Legionella and scalding risks.
