Wolseley Industrial Group announced it has officially changed its name to Ferguson Industrial. The business has been operating as part of Ferguson for the last 15 years, but kept Ferguson’s parent company former namesake, Wolseley, until now.
The company achieved sales growth of 29.1% and robust operating leverage led to operating profit growth of 68.3% (adjusted62.5%) in the first half of 2022.

While people fall year-round, the freezing season is the perfect time to think about fall prevention. Fall hazards such as slippery leaves, wet pavement and frozen water are common in the colder season. They can't be ignored, even when businesses are extremely busy. The injuries sustained from a fall can range from the bruised ego to death. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 5,333 fatal occupational injuries in the United States in 2019. Out of the 5,333 fatalities, approximately 900 or 17% of the total were the result of slips, trips and falls.
Net sales of $6,803 million were 26.6% ahead of last year, 24.5% higher on an organic basis with 1.8% from acquisitions and a further 0.3% from the impact of foreign exchange. Inflation in the first quarter was in the low teens.
Ferguson and Explore the Trades, a nonprofit organization with a mission to recruit individuals to the plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical trades,
have partnered to introduce the skilled trades to a new generation. The two organizations came together to create Explore The Trades Skills Lab Built by Ferguson — a program that will provide support to career and technical education high schools across the U.S., as they establish new plumbing and HVAC career pathways.

Ferguson purchased and installed a solar array for our Perris, California Distribution Center. This rooftop system will be the first instance of owned renewable energy on our distribution network and is expected to offset 1,305 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.
