Zurn Industries announced an expansion with Stone-Drew/Ashe & Jones (SDAJ), a leading commercial plumbing sales agency, effective May 1. SDAJ will take over for Mechagents, which spans Zurn’s portfolio of finish plumbing, water safety and control, and drainage solutions, and has represented Elkay for 66 years. Together, Zurn and SDAJ will be positioned to grow market share across the Pacific Northwest to meet the needs of customers with an expanded portfolio.

Danny Mariscal, chairman emeritus of Hirsch Pipe & Supply Co. located in Southern California passed away at the age of 83 on Feb. 8. His 57-year commitment to Hirsch Pipe & Supply Co., our employees and our customers will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.Danny started working at Hirsch as a bookkeeper in 1965 under the direction of Joe Hirsch. He quickly saw all sides of Hirsch, from completing odd jobs around the warehouse to assisting with sales at the counter. Through this experience, Danny fell in love with the organization, leading him to rise the ranks to become office manager.

Respondents to ASA’s monthly sales report reported a median sales increase of 27% for February 2022 vs. the same February 2021 timeframe. These results reflect another month of robust performance compared to the same month a year ago, though compared to January 2022 totals, the median sales growth was a more modest 4.5%, reports Industry Insights, which prepares the report for ASA distributor members.
