To kick off the new year, the American Supply Association, in conjunction with its Industrial Piping Division that comprises the industry’s leading industrial PVF distributors, manufacturers, master distributors and reps, has launched the ASA Commodities Twitter feed @ASA_Commodities. 

Victaulic announced the appointment of Rick Bucher as CEO, succeeding John F. Malloy, effective Jan. 31. 

While it is hard to predict anything with certainty during these times, there does seem to be agreement that the current tariffs imposed by the United States on steel goods will continue for the foreseeable future.

The PVF Roundtable Board of Directors announced Krystal Hatfield as a new board member. Hatfield is the chief marketing officer for OK Pipe and Fittings and is introducing a new media exposure initiative to PVF Roundtable members.

Low oil pricing, supply chain disruption and lack of skilled labor are some of the top concerns among master distributors around the county.

The majority of distributors agreed that while they know the workforce and customer base are aging, they aren’t yet feeling a prominent shift related to business practices and customer habits. 

Now that the dust has settled from the general election and the U.S. Senate runoff election in Georgia, there is no doubt that the 117th Congress will have the closest partisan balance in modern history.
