Falling lumber and structural panel prices have
led to the decision to close an additional 24 branches of Stock Building
Supply, reducing headcount by 370, primarily in the Midwest.
The U.S. Census Bureau and the
Department of Housing and Urban Development jointly announced the following new
residential construction statistics for June 2007.
While construction employment hasn’t fallen as
fast as the housing collapse would indicate, according to a recent ADP National
Employment Report, U.S. construction jobs could fall by 250,000 by the end of

the statute that was amended by the plumbing lead reduction law AB 1953.
At a special meeting, IPSCO shareholders voted
to approve the Plan of Arrangement whereby SSAB Svenskt Stal AB (SSAB) will
acquire all of the outstanding shares of IPSCO.
